The IWNY festival is an annual celebration of technology's impact on business and culture. This year's festivities will take place from May 18-24 and will attract business professionals, working across all sectors, attending 250+ events produced in the IWNY HQ and 150+ organized by citywide event partners.
The IWNY HQ, located at the Metropolitan Pavilion (125 W 18th Street - map) is the central hub of the IWNY festival. The HQ will bring together 9,000 attendees over four days for an opportunity to hear lively keynotes, interviews, and panels from celebrities, high-level business executives, founders of New York based startups, and leaders in the tech space. In addition to presentations about the latest general tech happenings, a large portion of IWNY HQ programming will be centered around content tracks that highlight how technology has impacted major areas of business. Attendees can expect to hear a series of sessions devoted to tech's role in Media & Entertainment, Creativity, Retail & Commerce, and more. The HQ will also include dozens of interactive displays in our digital playground, a media center, a café, lounges and areas for networking.
Citywide Events represent all of the local participation happening during IWNY across NYC. In 2014, there were over 250 Citywide Events, including parties, meetups, executive breakfasts, tours, conferences and networking mixers, taking place at startup offices, New York cultural institutions, clubs, bars, and retailers. This participation is the foundation of IWNY, and we value each event as an Official Event Partner of IWNY.
Make The Stage
Make The Stage, now in its 5th year, is a crowd-sourced program that provides everyone with the opportunity to help IWNY celebrate technology's impact on business, entertainment, and culture. The program calls on individuals, companies, and organizations to submit ideas they would like to see produced at IWNY 2015 and gives the community a voice in choosing which of the submitted ideas will be seen live at the IWNY HQ.
