Names for a Livable City

2009 promises a new Internet as ICANN starts issuing city-TLDs - .nyc, .berlin, .paris – for the first time.

The not-for-profit Connecting.nyc Inc. was created to acquire and develop the .nyc TLD. On Monday we will begin reaching out to the public and to city employees for intuitive domain names we should reserve to create a more livable city: names such as www.mayor.nyc and, dare we say, www.towed-vehicles.nyc.

Our supporters will be at major city office facilities inviting city employees to send good domain names our way. Everyone’s suggestions are welcomed. If you don’t see us on the streets reach us online at www.connectingnyc.org.
